While working at Trevelino/Keller, an Atlanta integrated marketing and public relations firm, I managed social media for several clients, including Flying Biscuit Cafe, a local breakfast and brunch restaurant, Candid Partners, an AWS certified Cloud Consulting firm and our agency social media.
While working for Trevelino/Keller, an Atlanta integrated marketing and public relations firm, I worked closely with V-Revive, a rejuvenation clinic based out of Jackson, Mississippi. For this client, I wrote daily social media posts (Facebook, Instagram), and weekly blog posts for their website's "V-Blog."

THE V WORD…AND THE OTHER V WORD
According to a study completed by British charity Ovarian Cancer Action, around 2/3 of younger women surveyed were embarrassed to say the word “vagina” to their doctor, among others.
While working for Trevelino/Keller, an Atlanta integrated marketing and public relations firm, I worked largely with Monkey Joe's, a children's inflatable play center. I wrote press releases and media alerts, like the one below, for various events and store openings.

MONKEY JOE’S HAMDEN DEBUTS LASER TAG AND BUMPER CARS WITH GRAND RE-OPENING
First Monkey Joe’s Location to Offer New Activities in the Nation, Hosting Grand Opening Ceremony
HAMDEN (Oct. 30, 2017) – Monkey Joe’s Hamden, a children’s entertainment center, announces new improvements to its facilities with the addition of a 4,000-square foot jungle-themed laser tag zone, equipped with 30 game vests; a 1,000-square foot bumper car spin zone and three new rooms for birthday parties, children’s events and more.
Monkey Joe’s Hamden is celebrating with a grand re-opening ceremony, hosted by Mayor Curt Leng in March. Members of the Chamber of Commerce will also be in attendance.
“We’re ready and excited to debut these new activities,” says Sonny Desai, owner of Monkey Joe’s Hamden. “At Monkey Joe’s, we’re constantly working to find new, engaging ways for families to have fun together. We hope Hamden families will take full advantage of these unique offerings and continue to enjoy their time at Monkey Joe’s.”
Desai says one important detail about the new bumper car and laser tag areas are the broad age guidelines. Anyone at or above the age of five can participate in these two new activities, meaning parents can join in on the fun.
“This expansion is about rebranding Monkey Joe’s to be more inclusive to the whole family,” he says. “We are trying to become more of a family entertainment center that caters to all different ages, not just 12 and under.”
Local residents were able to preview the new additions at a soft opening in early November. Those who have already experienced the new adult-inclusive additions are thrilled they finally have a place to play with their kids.
“This is really the only location like this [in Hamden] for kids and adults,” Desai said. “It’s important to involve the whole family. I truly believe it creates a more memorable experience.”
The location is a total of 26,000-square feet, making it the biggest family party facility in the state of Connecticut. It offers 40 arcade games, with plans to add additional games this year. Hamden’s Monkey Joe’s, in accordance with company practices, sanitizes all of their jumps, games and activities on a daily basis through a vetted local cleaning company.
“We take the sanitation of our store very seriously,” Desai says. “It’s crucial to create not only an exciting, fun place for families to play together, but a clean one. The last thing any parent wants to worry about when they’re having fun with their children is how clean a facility is.”
Desai has owned Monkey Joe’s Hamden for over a year, previously owning a number of Subway franchises and a Jackson Hewitt. It was Monkey Joe’s emphasis on fun and family, and its adaptability, however, that drew him to own his own jump-filled location. It was also what drew him to change it.
“I like the fact that Monkey Joe’s is willing to change and grow with the times,” he says. “It shows how progressive they are, and how committed they are to provide a one of a kind family experience.”
Monkey Joe’s Hamden is located at 35 Marne St, Hamden, CT 06514. Operating hours are Monday – Thursday, 10am – 8pm, Friday – Saturday, 10am – 9pm and Sunday, 10am – 8pm. For more information, visit http://www.monkeyjoes.com/locations/hamden.
